Probably the finest Soviet jet fighter design of all time, the MiG-15's high-performance and agility came as a shock to Western pilots flying against it in the Korean war. The only reason that, in the hands of Chinese aviators, it did not clear the Korean skies of all adversaries was that its opponents (flying the slightly inferior F-86 Sabre) were much better trained.
